Meet the founder

Fouad
Founder of Amazigh United

Growing up in a traditional Amazigh household, my connection to my roots has always been a central part of my identity. From the music we listened to, the food we ate, to the language I spoke with my parents, my Amazigh heritage has shaped who I am today. Living in Germany, where the Amazigh community is small, I was always excited to meet other Amazigh people and share our unique culture.

The idea for Amazigh United was born out of a desire to create a sense of community among Imazighen, especially in the diaspora. As a Moroccan who doesn't speak Arabic, I’ve often found it challenging to explain my identity to others. This brand is my way of bringing awareness to the Amazigh people and making our culture known worldwide.

Starting this brand has been no easy feat. As the designer, promoter, social media content creator, logistics expert, and more, I’ve worn many hats.
Finding connections to other Amazigh people in Germany has been challenging, especially since most of us are concentrated in cities like Düsseldorf and Frankfurt am Main.

Amazigh United represents diaspora kids growing up in countries like Germany, France, Spain, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, and beyond.
With a background in fashion and graphic design, I wanted to create stylish, high-quality clothing that allows young, active Amazigh people to proudly represent their roots. Our fashion is modern, fresh, and built to last—something that I felt was missing in the current landscape of Amazigh fashion.

At its core, Amazigh United is about connection—to our roots and to each other as a community. I’ve grown tired of the fact that many people don’t know who we are. We have our own flag, our own language, and our own rich culture. Through this brand, I hope to make people feel proud of their heritage and inspire them to learn more about it.

A milestone for me was selling out the first Amazigh United jersey, which was a surreal and motivating experience. Looking ahead, I’m excited to release more colorways, caps, jewelry, and other products. I’m also planning pop-up shops with food and drinks—small get-togethers where people can meet, connect, and celebrate our culture.

As part of the brand's identity, I’ve chosen to keep my face covered in promotional content, maintaining an air of mystery and allowing the focus to remain on the message and the community. Amazigh United isn’t just about me—it’s about all of us, coming together to celebrate who we are. Join me on this exciting journey!
